Larrie is no novice when it comes to singing. This high baritone can dish out anything from pop, R&B, standard tunes, and ballads. He is a PAPURI! singer, voice coach, recording artist, continuity announcer-broadcaster, music producer and, event host.

This indomitable energy and passion for music developed through his exposure to the church at an early age. Joining other young people with a desire to hone their musical abilities, he attended the Christian Arts Training Program of ‘PAPURI!’, the music arm of the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC). In this program, he trained under  the  watchful  eye  of  Edward

Granadosin, a gospel, mainstream artist and one of the Philippines' finest tenors. He furthered his studies in singing at the Philippine Women’s University Conservatory of Music under the guidance of soprano-Professor Elizabeth Ancheta and was voice coached by one of the country's best vocal arranger, coach, and OPM artist Zebedee Zuniga.

And through the years, this musical gift blossomed and was gifted with the following musical highlights:

  • He was the grand champion of the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines' singing competition in the year 2000.

  • He was a nominee- finalist in the Philippine Association of the Record Industry’s (PARI) 15th AWIT AWARDS in 2002 in two music categories- "Best folk-pop recording" in a duet with Pido Lalimarmo and "Best Performance by a New Duo or Group Recording Artist" with his group Barnabas.

  • He was a back-up vocalist in the 1999 Metropop Song Festival in the song-finalist "Mapapatawad Mo Pa Ba Ako" interpreted by Brix Ferraris" together with his former group "Men of Faith.

  • He was a back-up vocalist in the 2001 Metropop Song Festival in the song-finalist "Sayonara Baby" interpreted by "Frozen Pie" (Jingle Buena) with the male vocal group Quarter2Five.

  • He did backing vocals in the 2001 JAM Himig Handog sa Kabataan Pilipino Songfest of ABS-CBN. joining Quarter2Five in the song-finalist "K Naman" written by Jungee Marcelo and interpreted by Noel Cabangon with the Tropang Papuri!. 

  • He also performed with Jungee Marcelo with his dance crew as a back-up vocalist in his song-entry "Walang-Kurap" in the 2006 Himig Dangal Anti-Corruption Songfest of the Office of the Ombudsman and the British Council.

  • He was a front act in Darlene Zschech's March 2010 concert at the Araneta Coliseum and,

  • He won grand-prize in the 2015 Hymn Song Festival of the City of Mandaluyong interpreting an N. Arnel De Pano entry "Mandaluyong".​

  • He performed in CBN-ASIA's 25th Anniversary celebration last October 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum with PAPURI!, sharing the stage with mainstream artists Ogie Alcasid, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, and Jaya to name a few.

Adding to the list of his musical achievements, he has also been an interpreter of several released recordings, mostly from ‘PAPURI!’, and has performed in concerts and gospel album projects sharing the limelight in various inspirational concert productions with the country's most talented singers including Dulce, Reuben Laurente, Tim Pavino, Aicelle Santos, Yeng Constanino, Kuh Ledesma and Gary Valenciano.

To date, Larrie is currently the station voice of FEBC Phils. (flagship stations 702 DZAS & 98.7 DZFE-FM) and works as the PAPURI! Project Manager & Administrative aid to 98.7 DZFE-FM. He is a regular radio host of the music program, PAPURI! heard over the stations of FEBC.

He is engaged in various music and VO recording projects, bridal and corporate hostings, and promoting the 2021 virtual release of his solo gospel album entitled "Nananalig", with songs from the country's award-winning gospel -mainstream composers and music producers Jungee Marcelo, N. Arnel De Pano, Robert More Jr., Andrei Dionisio† and Paul Armesin to name a few.  This year, he is embarking on producing a follow-up music album of the same genre and musical style.  Larrie is happily married to Joan Del Campo-Ilagan and the two reside in Cainta Rizal.
